Adult circumcision is usually performed for cases of phimosis or paraphimosis. It is a small procedure performed on the outpatient setting (patient does not need to stay back in the hospital) by urologists.

Circumcision can be performed by either of following techniques:

1. Traditional technique involving stiches: cheapest, involves stiches
2. Stapler: fastest, higher patient satisfaction with penile looks, lower pain, very less to no bleeding, no stiches
3. Laser: no bleeding,no stiches, but takes more time and skin is burned by laser so overall takes longer to heal and final look may be inferior
